Gear I Recommend

The kit that actually rides along — nothing here that hasn't been out on the trail. Where something has a weakness, it says so.

Gazelle Tents™, T3X Hub Tent

Gazelle Tents™, T3X Hub Tent

I bought this tent because it was the only one that could fit in the bed of my truck straight. (since I have a short bed Tacoma). It fits perfectly, so I can slide it under the BamBeds I have in the back. The tent itself is great, super easy to put up and take down and I really appreciate the oversized tent bag that you don't have to struggle with. Also all the windows gives you amazing air-flow.

Portable Solar Panel

Portable Solar Panel

This little solar panel has surprised me a couple times and has been able to keep my fridge running a few extra hours. It's perfect for backpacking as it folds up small. You can keep it in the back seat pocket. Don't expect to get amazing results unless you're getting direct sun, but it will charge your phone and a small battery bank.

San Hima 4.6x6.6ft Awning

San Hima 4.6x6.6ft Awning

Mounts perfectly on my stock Tacoma 2nd gen rack with the help of some Yakima MightyMounts. I bought it for a music festival and it worked great. It's lived on my truck for over 2-years now and it's held up great. A little fading from the sun, but it's surprised me how well it's done considering the price.

Switch-Pro SP9100

Switch-Pro SP9100

Complete electrical switch solutions, you can easily add lights, winch control or anything else you want to switch on or off. I have my lockers, air compressor and some lights currently being controlled with it. It's been great, isn't big or bulky, I attached it to the trim by the stick shift with some VHB tape.
